Great questions, I just wish the answers and rational were better organized. They seemed to be all over the place. A couple of the answers provided the right answer first, with the rational at the end. Others explained the rational behind the wrong answers first and the right answer last. And yet another went in order of what the answer options were. But all in all, the rationals were thorough and helpful.

I used the Med-surg review book that I ordered from Mometrix to help prepare me for the Med-surg certification examination. The test booklet itself is two practice exams which was very helpful. I treated both practice tests as if they were exams, and held "mock exams" at my kitchen table. I really appreciated having the answers so that I could better understand what I didn't know, and review different areas that I needed more practice in. There were also several mnemonics that I did not know that were in the explanations that I found useful. Overall I would recommend this book to other nurses that are looking to study for and take the Med-surg certification exam.

I have not taken the exam yet, and have just started studying. I purchased this book because of the good reviews and the question format feeling it would be easier to learn how they format the questions AND learn what I don't know. I have been a nurse for over 30 years, there is much I have seen, things, I haven't used so forgotten, and many things have changed since my school days. I feel that the questions enclosed are a good study guide and the rationales for the answers are excellent. You may not learn everything you need to know from this one study guide, but it will certainly help you figure out what you need to look up or study in more depth. I am glad I purchased this book

I received this product several days ago and I am impressed with the questions and the explanations. The explanations make it easy to understand why the question was answered incorrectly. I am confident that this product will help me prepare for the exam. Many of my co-workers used this to study for the test and they passed the first try.I purchased this book a second time.I used this book 2 years ago when taking my med surg exam and it helped tremendously.

This book has GREAT questions and EXCELLENT rationales. It's worth every penny. A fair amount of the rationales helped to pinpoint the correct answer. I also used Lippincott's Review for Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (LWW, Springhouse Review for Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification) to cover content. I passed first attempt.

Decent price for 2 full practice exams. Good review/rationale to answer choices. I test in 3 weeks, so despite some normal test anxiety, I feel better prepared after reviewing rationales because they're along the lines of what I was rationalizing.Update: I passed the first time. Practice questions are the best prep. I only wished there were more "professional" and legal questions in the book

Used this as my only study guide, reviewed the questions I missed on pretesting and passed the certification. Worded very similarly to the test itself - it was a good guide to use.
